Download Ep. 44 Doom – Simon’s Cake Games Podcast

Hello everyone!

Today, hosts George and Joe are serving up an episode of Doom! They share their thoughts about why Doom (2016) is so good and distinguishes itself apart from other shooters today.  It’s a very fast paced game that has a very old school flair to it. They also run down a few things that they didn’t like too well about the game. One thing everyone can agree on, however, is the badassery (that’s a word!) that is the music, which was composed by Mick Gordon.  This game was developed by id software and published by Bethesda Softworks.

Although there isn’t too much to spoil, we do get into them in our Story Mode (patent pending) section. There is ample warning before then so don’t worry about any spoiler surprises and feel free to listen until then if you haven’t played the game before.

Feel free to leave any comments, questions, or any other feedback below. Did you have a favorite weapon, demon to fight, or level? Did it live up to your expectations? How does it fare against other shooters today? Let us know!
